    • avoid exfoliating your skin at least 48-72 hours before your appointment (retinol/retinoids, BHA’s)

    • avoid sun exposure/tanning beds leading up to your appointment as it can cause skin sensitivity

    • avoid laser treatments/waxing five days before and after your appointment

    • avoid sun exposure as much as possible

    • apply and reapply SPF (duh!)

    • avoid high-intensity exercise and/or swimming for 48 hours

    • avoid exfoliating skin for four-five days

    • stay on top of your at-home skincare regimen for optimal results

    • keep your skin hydrated and moisturized 

    • for best results, try to go makeup free for one-two days post-treatment

  • to maintain your skin’s health, we generally recommend treating yourself to a facial every three-four weeks. your esthetician will be able to monitor your skin monthly while giving your pores a deep clean.

  • yes, it’s possible to purge (breakout) after a facial- especially if you’ve never had a facial treatment, or if it’s been a while since your last one. your skin can react to the active ingredients used in the treatment that increase cell turnover- bringing congestion, excess oil and bacteria build-up to the surface.

    don’t let this scare you away! it’s an important part of your journey to healthy skin.

  • it depends on what type of results you’re looking for. immediately after your treatment, your skin will feel brighter, hydrated and clean- an overall healthy glow.

    if we’re treating acne, it will vary between each client depending on their skin condition(s), consistency and at-home regimen.

  • yes, wash your face with a gentle cleanser and apply SPF. your esthetician needs to see how your skin’s health is on an average day.

  • wait at least four-six hours after your facial to wash your face. you don’t want to wash away those skin care products before letting them do their magic.

  • in your appointment confirmation email, you’ll see a button to “cancel or reschedule”.

    the online system will not allow clients to cancel within 24 hours of their appointment. to avoid being charged the cancellation fee, please cancel/reschedule in advance, outside of the 24 hour period.

  • no, your credit card is used to hold your spot on the calendar! you will be charged at checkout, after your treatment.
